The Lanterne Rouge is a place of honour, recognizing the long journey of the last place team. The Lanterne Rouge stems from a tradition of the Tour de France cycling race where the final racer was followed by a (you guessed it) red lantern. Being in the second half of the teams is tough - you're out there longer on each section, so just remember that they're freaking tough as nails too!
