Spoiler alert: the beaver trophy is not moving to a new 'lodge'. Congratulations to Team #20 - Peaks And Trails Running Series who retain their Wilderness Traverse title for 2023. All the drama happened on the last leg, and really in the last few kilometres, as they battled it out with Team #28 - Raid Pulse. The difference came down to route choices, with Peaks And Trails going slightly further north, thus avoiding some gnarly tornado damaged forest, with lots of deadfall making it slow running.
