Teams may choose to complete the Explorer Course instead of the Expedition Course at CP17. This eliminates the bike-and-trek section of the Expedition Course and teams start moving on bike towards the finish line.
After the cutoff of noon teams cannot proceed on the Expedition Course, teams arriving at CP17 after this time will proceed on the Explorer Course.
