The back of the pack is closing in on TA2 - it's a tough bike with a big route choice to make. Many teams have been taking the 'high road' north of Highland Pond - this keeps them mostly on trail and is perhaps the more obvious choice. A few other teams (earlier teams through this section) chose to cross south of Highland Pond to hit the road, which would be faster on the bike, but require a hike a bike through the woods to hit it. So, the question is, does the time and effort to do the hike-a-bike outweigh the speed gained on the road? Or is it a good option to save time? We'll see!
